My Design Work

InDesign screen shot

My design work covers a wide range of projects for both print and web. These projects included the use of Adobe Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, and Acrobat, as well as Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint. I have experience in both PC and MAC environments.

Large format print projects include conference banners, interior and exterior bus signs, posters, banners, and wall art. Standard print design projects include reports, booklets, brochures, ads, posters, bottle labels, package design, programs, as well as other miscellaneous projects such as magnets, bookmarks, and other take-away items.

Web design projects include everything from entire website design, to static and Flash animated banner ads, to email graphics.

I have a proven record of producing quality design work that satisfies employers and clients, while always paying attention to detail, following identity guidelines, and meeting deadlines.

My Experience

Robert hochber resume image

I recently completed a full-time temporary design position at Fisher-Price, while continuing my freelance work. This opportunity provided me with valuable experience in package design, while working within identity guidelines for a major toy manufacturer. Outside of package design, projects included the update of design guide materials, promotional materials, and a variety of smaller projects.

UB departments I have designed for include University at Buffalo Department of Athletics, School of Social Work, UB Center for Student Leadership and Community Engagement, UB Intercultural and Diversity Center, Undergraduate Academies, Career Services, and UB Green.

Buffalo/Niagara Riverkeeper, Erie Community College Going Green, Global African Village, Association for a Buffalo Presidential Center, Off Campus Living Task Force, and the Western New York Sustainable Energy Association are some of the other organizations, departments, and not-for-profit groups I designed for.

From September 2006 to September 2007 I held a one-year temporary position at University at Buffalo Facilities as Community Relations Associate. Responsibilities covered related to this position included, among other things: Marketing, Graphic design, Event promotion, Public service campaigns, Identity, and Reports.

As a student I had the opportunity to design the official UB Green logo, which was adopted by the university, as well as a recycling campaign I named Where Green Meets Blue. It was a joint effort by UB Green and the University at Buffalo Department of Athletics and included then Head Football Coach Turner Gill and several student athletes.
